Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Directing with specialization in Community Theater (1998-2001)
  • Master’s Degree (M.F.A.) with honors in Theater Arts, Directing track (2007-2010) – Tel Aviv University

Professional Experience:

  • Founder and CEO of Platform Theater – An activist theater promoting trauma and violence survivors and a training program for stage professions (2015-present)
  • Keren is a playwright and writing instructor in the professional training program
  • Writes all productions from Platform Theater, both testimonial plays performed throughout Israel and productions for repertory theaters (Habima, Cameri)
  • Has created and written 9 plays in the theater’s repertoire (from 2015-2025)

Focus and Experience:

  • Specializes in writing plays inspired by personal life stories
  • Professional experience includes: 
    • Instructor in the Theater Department (Community Track) at Tel Aviv University for both undergraduate and graduate programs (10 years)
    • Creator in community theater (25 years), particularly in prison theater (17 years)
    • Playwright in professional and repertory theater (15 years)

Currently developing an original dramatic television series based on true events.
