Born in 1951 in Tel-Aviv, is a playwright, graduate of the theater department
of the Hebrew University (1977). He is a recipient of the Israeli Playwright of the Year award
(2017), with Micha Lewensohn and Dror Keren, for the adaptation of David Grossman’s novel A
Horse Walks into a Bar (staged at the Cameri Theatre, 2017 – 2026). He specializes in
docu-dramas and the adaptation of novels for the stage. His last play: Rami and Bassam:
Apeirogon, an adaptation of the novel of Colum McCann, Apeirogon (Jaffa Theatre, 2025-2026).
He is also a historian, a staff member of Tel-Aviv University.
