A young soldier receives special leave from the army after his father suffered a heart attack and was scheduled for major bypass surgery. He chooses to spend the night before surgery in a small neighborhood pub on Lilienblum Street, where he clings to the words and stories of the pub’s staff and residents, trying to relieve the moments of anxiety.
Saturated with alcohol, shrouded in the pub soundtrack, he absorbs the flood of fantasies and kinks of the Root’s Bar occupants and meets himself again.
