“Matter of life and death” is a short black comedy set inside a Hearse stuck in traffic.
The story centers on the encounter between Chaim – an aging undertaker infatuated with death – and Amram, a young ultra-Orthodox man who ends up in this job by mistake.
The play unfolds along the seam between life and death, sacred and secular, religious and secular worlds, routine and fantasy – exploring questions of life’s meaning, love, identity, and the inescapable presence of the end.
