Ruth is an ordinary woman who lives in Haifa, her story begins when she realizes that her only son is missing on his 18th birthday. During the play, Ruth moves through crucial moments of her past and looks at them in a new perspective in order to understand where her son is. Ruth reveals the events that came before her son’s disappearance, realizing for the first time her part in the story, and shows remorse on it. 

In the play, we meet a woman that feels trapped in her maternal role. Therefore, in an unconscious way she bequeaths those feelings to her own son and traps him in the devastating circle of guilt
