Geva is a young gay Israeli living in Berlin with a problem: no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to fall in love. So he does what any reasonable person would do: he keeps dating. Moving from one man to another, from awkward hookups to almost-relationships, Geva searches for the person who might finally prove him wrong. Told through a series of intimate, interconnected encounters, Geva Can’t Fall in Love begins as a romantic comedy about dating, desire, and the endless search for connection, before gradually revealing a deeper story about grief, displacement, and the things we carry with us when we leave home. Moving between humor and emotional exposure, the play explores intimacy, Jewish-Israeli identity, and the strange gap between wanting to love and being able to let someone in. |
