Michael faces all the usual struggles of being a teen—plus one extra feature: living with Tourette syndrome. His condition causes uncontrollable sounds and movements. Despite his history of bouncing between schools never quite fitting in, this year marks a pivotal shift. Determined not to surrender, Michael’s mother enrolls him in a new school, in the hopes of integrating him into a “regular” class. Amidst jeers and teasing from some classmates, one friend emerges as a beacon of faith and acceptance, allowing Michael to earn the admiration of all. With unwavering support from his mother, the newfound camaraderie, and an insatiable hunger for success, Michael imparts a powerful lesson – that our differences make us extraordinary. In a world where conformity is challenged, those who strive to be “normal” – lose! |
