 SYNOPSIS:

Daniel was awarded a lucrative scholarship to a leading fashion school in New York, and he is excited about going there, especially after meeting  Blake, a model and photographer, who became his American lover

  While at a family dinner his mother  Zehava (56) suddenly feels sick and is rushed to the hospital. It soontranspires that she has a brain tumor and is in advanced stages of cancer

Daniel is forced to stay in Israel to take care of his mother. He keeps confronting his stepfather Mike about past grievances, opening old wounds. They have different approaches to treating Zahava. While Mike is generally impatient and tries simply to reduce her pain, Daniel gets completely wrapped up in using every known method in alternative medicine to help her recover

Meanwhile, Daniel starts dating Maya, a holistic therapist. Their relationship grows stronger and more committed, and with some pressure from his sick mother, may lead to a wedding. Daniel hides his attraction to men from both his mother and his girlfriend

Daniel’s oedipal connection with her make him abandon his truth, time after time. He can see that his mother loves Maya and he decides, in a final effort to make her happy on her death bed, to propose to Maya

Everything gets shook up when Blake pays Daniel a surprise visit to Israel, wanting to solidify their love and demanding Daniel give him answers. The attraction between them is fierce, and the two men become romantically involved again, while keeping it hidden from everyone in Daniel’s life

Maya’s unplanned pregnancy further complicates things for Daniel, and the mother’s impending death accelerates the intensity of Daniel’s predicament – what will he do? Will he find the strength to come clean? What will he choose, and when he does, what price will he pay?
