She was born in London, to a Jewish orthodox family and<br \/>\nimmigrated to Israel with her family at the age of 13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">Whilst pursuing a B.A. in Theatre at Tel Aviv University, she began writing and performing<br \/>\nprofessionally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">Hadar first became known from a comedy she created together with another religious comedienne (<b><i>Bidur Kahalacha<\/i><\/b>). It was the first time in Israel\u2019s history that two orthodox women performed on a professional stage and\u00a0 dared to laugh at the orthodox world they belonged to.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">In 2001 Hadar created a one-woman satirical stand-up comedy about women\u2019s status in Jewish law (<b><i>Pulsa<\/i><\/b>). Sharp, witty and highly critical of Jewish orthodoxy, the show aroused the wrath of many religious forums, that immediately banned it and forbade their<br \/>\ncommunities to see it.<br \/>\nDespite this, the audience poured in (including men and women from religious<br \/>\nsectors, even ultra-orthodox women). \u00a0<i>Pulsa<\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i>was on stage until 2011<br \/>\n(almost 10 years) and close to 700 performances in the Israeli Cameri theatre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\"><b><i>Mikve<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0<\/i>(2005), Hadar\u2019s first full-length drama for theatre takes a peek at orthodox women\u2019s lives via the most intimate ritual \u2013 \u2018the Mikve\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">While\u00a0<i>Mikve<\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i>was also highly controversial, it was nominated for six National theatre awards and won two &#8211; including Israel\u2019s prestigious \u201cPlay of the Year\u201c award in 2005.<br \/>\n&#8220;Mikve&#8221; has been successfully staged outside Israel ;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">2008 &#8211; The National Theatre in Mexico (Spanish production).<br \/>\n2008 &#8211; The National Theatre of Prague (Czech production) \u2013 still on stage (extended contract)!<br \/>\n2010 &#8211; Theatre J &#8211; Washington DC<br \/>\n2011 \u2013 Vig theatre &#8211; Budapest (still on stage)<br \/>\n2011 \u2013 Theatre Arena, Bratislava.<br \/>\n2014 &#8211;\u00a0 Yiddishpiel theatre (in Yiddish), Israel<br \/>\n2015 &#8211;\u00a0 Czech republic \u2013 new peoduction<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">After &#8220;Mikveh&#8221; Hadar co-wrote 2 feature films (dramas). The first : <b>&#8220;The Secrets&#8221;<\/b> ( written together with renowed director Avi Nesher and won<br \/>\nseveral international awards for the screenplay ). The second<b>: &#8220;Bruriah&#8221;<\/b>(director: Avraham Kushnir)\u00a0 in which Hadar also played leading role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">In October 2008, Hadar directed and co-wrote a theatrical-music show for Yehoram Gaon<br \/>\nintertwining his own personal life story with the story of Israel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">Hadar then wrote a<br \/>\nchildren\u2019s t.v. series starring Yehoram Gaon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">During 2010 Galron wrote texts and<br \/>\nsketches and directed various musical shows and performances among them:<br \/>\n<b>&#8220;Kribo &amp; co&#8221;<\/b> with David Krivoshey, <b>&#8220;The faculty&#8221;<\/b>. She<br \/>\nalso directed &#8220;Mikveh&#8221; in English, wrote and directed <b>&#8220;Ima<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>-Ma&#8221;<\/b> ( a play about modern motherhood with graduates of Bet-Tzvi<br \/>\nAcademy of acting), for Tzavta fringe theatre, and wrote and co-directed (with<br \/>\nchoreographer Barry Avidan) <b>&#8220;Beam of Light&#8221;<\/b>, a musical dance show<br \/>\nwith songs of Ahinoam Nini, for the Carmiel dance festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">In 2013, Hadar wrote and directed<br \/>\n<b>&#8220;Musrara&#8221;<\/b> \u2013a play that tells the story of the Israeli Black Panthers,<br \/>\nPsik theatre, Jerusalem. The play is still on stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">Hadar also writes and acts for TV, is a professional lecturer and compare (Hebrew and English) and<br \/>\nteaches dramatic writing and acting in several Drama academies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"direction: ltr;\">Hadar is currently performing in her satirical one-woman comedy on the strong women of the Bible<br \/>\nwho saved the Jewish Nation with their womanhood\u2026 <b>&#8220;Passion\u00a0 Killer&#8221;<\/b>, in both Hebrew and English (Directed<br \/>\nby Shmuel Vilozni).<br \/>\nShe is also<span style=\"color: black;\"> writing a drama series for t.v. and working (together with<br \/>\ndirector Anita Doron) on a new draft for the film adaption of her play \u201cMikveh\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>writer, actress, comedienne, director and songwriter for theatre, tv and cinema.
