He is a graduate of the \u201cYoram Loewenstein\u2019s Performing Arts Studio,\u201d Tel Aviv, class of 2007. In 2004\/5 he won 2 full Scholarships for promising acting skills from The \u2018America-Israel Cultural Foundation\u2019. In 2010 he did a Directing internship for world renowned director Yevgeny Arye in a production of \u2018Revizor\u2019 by Gogol at \u2018GESHER\u2019 theater, Israel. In 2013 he was a member of the 2013 Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.<\/p>\n<p>His Directing and other artistic accomplishments include: Directing \u201cThe Pillowman\u201d by Martin McDonagh at Haifa regional theatre. Directing and Adapting \u201cMicrocosmos\u201d, a novel by Yirmi Pinkus at \u2018Gesher\u2019 theater. Directing and translating \u201cGruesome Playground Injuries\u201d by Rajiv Joseph for an Israeli debut production at \u2018Gesher\u2019 theater. Devising, editing and co-writing (with his colleague Iftach Ophir) \u201cRepertory Theatre\u201d by Eldad Cohen, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2012-13 and in Israel, which won &#8220;Best Play&#8221; at the Israeli fringe awards. \u201cGiving the Answer at the End\u201d, in \u201814\/48\u2019 short theatre festival, Tel-Aviv. \u201cDoors\u201d, an original production, \u2018Y.L.Studio\u2019 and \u2019TZAVTA\u2019 theater, Tel Aviv. \u2018Andorra\u2019 by Max Frisch, \u2018Y.L.Studio\u2019, Tel Aviv. He also wrote and performed in &#8220;1+1&#8221;, an original production at \u2018GESHER\u2019 theater.<\/p>\n<p>As an actor, Erez has starred in a variety of classical and contemporary theater productions such as \u201cRepertory Theatre\u201d by Eldad Cohen (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and independently in Israel) for which him and his colleague were shortlisted for &#8220;Best Ensemble&#8221; at<br \/>the &#8220;Stage&#8221; awards in Edinburgh. &#8220;1+1&#8221;, an original production, in the leading role (\u2018GESHER\u2019 theater.) \u201cMerchant of Venice\u201d by Shakespeare, as Launcelot Gobbo and \u201cRail to Damascus\u201d by Hillel Mitelpunkt, as LEHI Man (\u2018HaBIMA\u2019 theatre.) \u201cThe Client\u201d by Danni Wasserman , as Luftag and \u201cTartuffe\u201d by Moliere, as Loyal and \u201cTwelfth Night\u201d by Shakespeare, as Sir Andrew Aguecheek (GESHER\u2019 theater as a member of the company.) &#8220;It Runs in the Family&#8221; by Ray Cooney (\u2018TZAVTA\u2019 Theater.)<br \/>His TV and cinema performances include the award winning show \u201cPillars of smoke\u201d (two seasons) for Israeli cable television, \u201cConfess\u201d Israeli-German project for the internet, and \u201cGoing through the wall\u201d- a feature film by acclaimed director Rama Burstein, recently accepted into the Venice film festival formal competition (2016).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Born in Tel Aviv, Israel.
