Nitzan Cohen

Contact: eMail Nitzan Cohen was born on Moshav Nir Yisrael. The first play that Cohen wrote and directed was “Wordplay” (Acre Theater Festival 1999), for which he received the Sternfeld Prize for Writing and Direction. In 2005, he wrote and directed “Get a Life” at the Tmu-na Theater in Tel Aviv. For this play he won the Golden Hedgehog Playwright of the Year Prize. During the past few years, he has written and directed several additional plays, including “Bellboy”, “Footage”, “Private Collection”, “Regarding the Bird”, and recently, the monodrama “Scared to Death”, in which he himself presents his material. In parallel to his writing and direction, Cohen also teaches – Comic Scriptwriting at the “Minshar” Academy, and Dramatic Writing in a variety of frameworks.
